This is my dreaded first post.
I usually have a difficult time writing first posts and have a habit of making them corny. It seems like this time won’t be any different. I’ve already taken a break three times to shoe shop online.
Getting back on point, this really is the start of the next chapter of my life. I’m a 24 year old somewhat recent college-grad. I’m in the process of searching for a start to my career, while at the same time attempting to finally move out of my parents house. Although my generation seems to be sticking around home for longer, I still feel like it’s time to move on.
I grew up ‘down the shore,’ as most people who aren’t from here would say. I spend my summers serving at a popular late-night wing joint in LBI, NJ called the Chicken or the Egg (known as the Chegg by locals and the Egg to those who work there) and my winters binge-watching Netflix just waiting for the summer.
This blog is going to be a mixture of stories that I’ve experienced while navigating my 20s and things I’ve learned along the way. I have a love for beauty and fashion. I’m always trying new things which I’ll document here. I’m also a fan of exploring. I’ll be writing a lot about the different cities I visit or wherever I’m living at the time. The next city that I plan to concur is Hoboken come March!
Some other random things you should know about me:
- I’ve been dating my boyfriend since I was 15, we were childhood friends and we’re moving to Hoboken together. He’s a genius at rehabbing old furniture and he’s furnishing our future apartment this way. There will be a how-to post on that coming soon.
- I went to Montclair State University for broadcasting and my dream career is to produce for E! News or something similar.
- I’m obsessed with my family dog, Fozzy, but he doesn’t really like me that much. I can’t stop taking pictures of him. I’m going to miss him tremendously.
- I’m incredibly clumsy and mishap prone. I have a million funny/bizarre/scary stories because of this. I’ll probably write about some. They’re too crazy not to share.
Thanks for joining me on my journey! Check back soon for the adventures I’ve been having while still at home.
